Billing
The Billing page is where ORG Admins manage the organisation's subscription, billing details, and invoices. An active subscription is required to use any LLM-powered feature on the platform.

How it works
Subscription Management
The platform uses Chargebee to manage subscriptions. All subscription changes (subscribe, cancel, resubscribe) are processed through the Chargebee-hosted checkout flow.
Subscribing:
- Navigate to Billing.
- Click Subscribe (or Manage subscription if a subscription exists).
- Complete the Chargebee checkout. Enter payment details as required.
- On successful payment, your subscription activates and LLM access is granted across the platform.
Cancelling:
- Navigate to Billing.
- Click Cancel subscription.
- Confirm the cancellation. The subscription is cancelled at the end of the current billing period.
- LLM features remain accessible until the subscription period ends.
Resubscribing:
- Navigate to Billing.
- Click Resubscribe (shown when the subscription has been cancelled or lapsed).
- Complete the Chargebee checkout to reinstate the subscription.
Billing Details
Billing details (organisation name, address, and contact) are used for invoice generation. They can be updated at any time.
- Navigate to Billing.
- Edit the billing details fields.
- Click Save billing details.
Invoices
All invoices for the organisation are listed on the Billing page. Each invoice shows the billing period, total amount, and status (paid, outstanding, overdue).
Click any invoice to view its detail, including a line-item breakdown of LLM usage charges.
Billing Status Banners
The platform displays inline banners when the billing status requires attention. These banners appear across the app (not just on the Billing page) to ensure important billing issues are visible.
No Subscription Banner
Shown when the organisation has no active subscription.
- ORG Admin: sees a direct link to the Billing page to subscribe.
- ORG Member: sees a notice to contact their organisation admin.
When this banner is showing, all LLM-powered features are blocked (Discover chat, Define workflow, Design workflow, Build agent).
Resolution: ORG Admin should navigate to Billing and subscribe.
Arrears Banner
Shown on the Build board when the organisation has outstanding overdue invoices.
- ORG Admin: sees admin-specific instructions (typically to update payment details or settle the overdue invoice).
- ORG Member: sees a message to contact their organisation admin.
When this banner is showing, product features (Define, Design) remain accessible but LLM features are blocked.
Resolution: ORG Admin should navigate to Billing, open the overdue invoice, and process the payment.
How to use it to solve your problem
Getting started after registration
After completing the registration wizard you are redirected to the Billing page automatically. Complete the subscription checkout before attempting to use any AI features.
Resolving a blocked platform
If the platform has stopped responding to AI requests and a subscription or arrears banner is visible:
- Navigate to Billing (ORG Admins only can resolve this).
- If the No Subscription Banner is shown: click Subscribe and complete the checkout.
- If the Arrears Banner is shown: find the overdue invoice in the invoice list and process payment.
- Once the billing issue is resolved, the platform will restore LLM access within a few minutes.
Updating your billing address for new invoices
- Navigate to Billing.
- Update the billing details fields with the new address.
- Click Save billing details. Future invoices will reflect the updated details.
How it fits the broader picture
Billing is the access gate for the entire platform. Every LLM-powered feature (Discover, Define, Design, and Build) requires an active subscription. Keeping billing in order is an operational prerequisite for using the platform.
For audit trail records of billing events (subscription changes, payment events), see Audit Log.
